streak ends, pressing forward

Alright, I’m gonna try to keep this one short and sweet cuz we’re low on time. We’re going to have an asado (Uruguayan BBQ!) with the zone today so we’re headed to Mercedes in just a lil bit. Yay!

Well, it was a little bit of a disappointing week. Bruno agreed to get baptized on Wednesday and everything was good to go but in the end it fell through. He’s still kind of struggling with giving up the church that he’s been going to since he was 8. He says he knows that our church is true and that the gospel has been restored but apparently his testimony is quite strong enough. We’ll continue working with him and see how things go. Unfortunately, our streak of baptizing every weekend has ended, but it was a good streak anyway!

The Lemos family is doing great. We visited them last night. They got their temple recommends this week to go to the temple with the ward on the 19th to do baptisms and they have set their goal and the bishop even reserved a spot for them to be sealed in the temple on Dec. 3, 2010. Man, I wish I could be there! Hermana Ung and I are hoping to find rich fiancés when we get home that will bring us back here to go to their sealing. We’ll see how that works out ;)
