Happy Thanksgiving!
We had a great feast with our zone, my companion and I contributed two pumpkin pies, one apple, and the gravy. It was DELICIOUS!
We are working with some really great people, and I know great things will come this Christmas season.
We met this man named Juan, he was reluctant to listen at first, but we just felt good about him so we’re going back. I think he’s going to go somewhere.
It keeps getting hotter. But for some reason the Christmas traditions of the North have penetrated into the heart of this country. In 90 degree weather the city streets and shopping malls are adorned with evergreens, reindeer, and elfs in long stockings, mittens and fur hats. The traditional Christmas food is Fruit Cake.
Sometimes globalization makes traveling a little less exciting.
We’ve eaten Nokis three days in a row – it’s a flour and potato pasta rolled into little round balls that they eat every 29th of the month. And sometimes the day before and the day after.
The baptism on Saturday was Amazing! Manuel did such a good job baptizing his wife and daughter. It was amazing to see the whole family in white.
Today Hna Ung gave me a makeover for our Christmas pictures. I needed it, sometimes the mission life just doesn’t produce beauty bombshells.
Ps. My family is losing the writing to their daughter/sister/niece/friend/missionary award. Deadline approaching, get it in while you can.
Love you all!!
Hna Suswha
