Goodbye Land That I Love

Changes have dropped in like a bomb. So after my companion had said goodbye to everyone in the ward and to our investigators, we received changes that night. Let’s just say my bag are packed, and she will be around to say hello to everyone again.
I was super bummed to find out I was leaving. Serving in Artigas as been the funnest part of my mission thus far. Well, OK its not like I’ve been around anywhere else—BUT ITS JUST FEELS THAT I AM LEAVING HOME.

I’ve learned a lot though. Changing quickly out of the blue like this has helped me see how little time one has in each place and how important it is to take advantage of the present as much as you can. There is no time to go back and do re-dos.

I’ve set a lot of high goals for myself for my next area. I really want to try to do better at reaching out and going beyond the easy and good thing. In life there are three scales for success: good success, better success, and the best success. I am going for the best success. Anyway I’ll tell you how it goes.

One thing I am glad about is that hopefully leaving Artigas, I’ll be able to get a little bit back into shape. Hopefully the pictures don’t show it to much but this ward is rounding me out on the edges. They say Rivera, my new area has lots of hills.
Last night one of our investigator families invited us over for a goodbye carpincho barbeque. Have you ever tried carpincho meat before? The meat is made up of five layers of grease-fat-meat mixture. My companions and I are Terrible (with a capital “T”) at saying “no” to anything! We ended up eating three and a half chunks each. My stomach was alive the rest of the night! It seriously was coming up with its own heart beat, every other muscle in my body seemed to be cramping up as if all of the blood and energy in my bed was sent to the intestine department to help with the digesting.
We ran our morning run twice this morning.

I catch the train at 10:30 tonight; tomorrow morning I will be in Rivera. Companion: Hermana Oja. (She’s American but Guatemalan heritage)

Hermana Suswha

P.S. I forgot to include this important message!
Hermana Murdock is staying in Artigas and training! She’s going to do amazing! But she is super nervous so could you all pray for her? Thanks! Love you all
