Rain Mud We Need Oreos

Ok Hello Everyone!

We are definitely in winter. Not only did the sun not come out once this week, but it rained and rained and rained.

And all of the really cool awesome people we are teaching did not dare to leave their house on Sunday. I actually can't really blame them; the weather was terrible but still.

Oh well.

So again here we are fighting from square one.

Today with the other missionaries in the zone, we went to a big state park with trees and stuff and then played ultimate and soccer in the field. It was fun. Hermana Casebolt is really funny and a great soccer player. We took cool pictures.

You can see the GIANT muddy campo we've had to cross daily due the rain storms and the bridge that has been under constructin for the last month or so. But we would never let a little mud stop the work — forward and onward!! All of our lessons we've met and attended too, we just had to apologize for the mud when we enter.

Last night Hermana Casebolt went to plug in her hair dryer and the lights went out. So if it didn't already seem that we were camping in our cement box-like apartment, it definitely does now. As of now showers have been held off until we can figure how to turn back on the hot water. But with all this rain who really needs to shower anyway..

The other pic is a picture of the beautiful chocolate box cake that Hermana Casebolt had received from her loving sister. This was taken before we put on the layer of rainbow chip frosting. Yea, it was ReALLY good. Well it looked good at least. The tragedy of the story is that we were not able to eat it....we made it for the 6th birthday of the daughter of a young couple we are teaching. We went to their house to give it to them, and, well not to make a joke, but if there's anything that can ruin a party in less than 30 seconds, it would be to have two sister missionaries show up. Apparently. So instead of us being able to share the cake with this family that we love. We had to leave it there without even trying one little bit! It was quite a trying experience and a big downer on an already rainy and dreary day....I felt especially bad for Hermana Casebolt because she had been so excited to try a little bit of cake from home but oh well. I have faith the Lord will bless us with more chocolate rainbow chip frosted cakes in the future. I hope they enjoyed it.

Anyway things are going good. I continue to love my new area Salto. The members are so great and such great examples of faith and diligence. I love Salto! And I love being a missionary.

Love ya lots,
Hermana Suswha
