I have grand news to be spread to all—I am staying in Fray Bentos!!
Yaya!!
Finally I am not moving again!! I am soo excited. This is one of the greatesr blessings the Lord has ever given me. And the best part is that I love Fray Bentos! It is the prettiest place in Uruguay. They have huge plazas, beautiful trees, and the people are amazing! I know there are a lot of people who are accepting the gospel here.
The mission president had given us the challenge to baptize weekly. We have taken up the call and are working boldly and courageously to find those who are ready and willing to come unto Him. This weekend Fernando is another miracle who is getting baptized. Fiftyish, two kids, separated, ex-alcoholic. He's seen a lot of bad things in his life and has not always done the right thing. But, by reading the Book of Mormon and praying he has seen and felt great changes come in to his life. He is recognizing the great things the Lord has in plan for him and what things he can do to exercise his full potential. Really great.
We are also working with a kid—he's 27 years old and super excited about the message we share, especially repentance and change and the fact that the atonement of Christ is for all of us to take advantage of. Christ has given us the means to be healed to shed the feelings of guilt and incapabilty and to fill those gaps with hope, love and trust.
Really the Lord has great things planned for us all.
Last week, one of my good friends sent me some pics of her on her mission right now in Japan! It was really exciting to hear news of friends in other parts of the world doing the same work. It helps a lot to face the challenges, I've put her picture in my agenda as a reminder of the many hundreds and thousands who are all in the work together.
I have some sad news. My beautiful and wonderful amazing companion is leaving me.
Tear tear tear
She has been called to open the POCITOS area!! Yea that’s right, my area where I started in Montevideo! I've been filing her in on all the cool people there and the great thigns she is going to see but of course, she is going a little nervous with the anticipation and the new responsibilities she will have. But I have full faith in her, she is an awesome missionary, and I know the Lord does too.
My new companions is…oh gosh you will never guess…..Hermana Ung! From some part of Utah. Yes, the Hermana Ung that entered the MTC with me! How wierd huh? I never ever ever ever thought that we whould end up companions but cool. Guess the Lord has some fun things in mind for both of us.
Anyway love you all...sorry for not writing too much these last weeks.
But likewise huh.
Hahah

Send me things I love you!
